For those of you who love Harry Potter, you might have known that the first film in the franchise—Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone—is now 20 years old. And on January 1, 2022, the cast and crew of Harry Potter met again to celebrate the 20th anniversary in a film event called Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.
Many things were discussed by the cast and crew, from Even Alfonso Cuaron, the director of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, who was amazed by the cast, to Emma Watson who admitted that she had fallen in love with Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy.
Watson made this confession during a discussion with Felton about their relationship. Watson’s feelings for Felton began to develop during a tutoring session, which asked the two of them and the other child actors to draw what they thought God looked like.

“Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And, I just don’t know how to say it, I just fell in love with him,” said Watson, quoted from Paper Magazine.
The 31-year-old actress also said that she always waited for days she and Felton worked together.
“I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven,” she said. “And if his number was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day,” Watson continued.
And it turns out, Felton had the same feelings for Watson.
“Emma and I have always loved each other,” he said. “I think I was in the hair-and-makeup chair, and someone said something along the lines of, ‘Yeah, she had a crush on you’.”
However, because Felton is three years older than Watson, he considers the actress to be his little sister.
“He was three years above me and so for him, he was like, ‘You’re like my little sister.’ And Nothing has ever ever ever ever happened romantically with us,” Watson said.
