Storm Reid is an American actress best known for her role as Gia Bennett on the HBO series Euphoria. She made her debut on the big screen through the film 12 Years a Slave, which was released in 2013. And now, the 18-year-old actress will be starring in a series based on a video game, The Last of Us.

The Last of Us is an action-adventure game that is very popular among gamers. In 2013, the game was released by Sony Computer Entertainment and won a number of prestigious awards. And thanks to its popularity, The Last of Us will be adapted into a TV series of the same name.

Besides Reid, well-known actors, such as Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Anna Torv, Nico Parker, and Gabriel Luna, also play in the series that will air on HBO.

On Saturday (1/15/2022), Reid announced that she’ll be playing in The Last of Us on Twitter.

Chernobyl series creator Craig Mazin is in charge of scriptwriting the series with Neil Druckmann. They both also serve as executive producers. Not only that, Druckmann also sits in the director’s chair along with four other people.

The series is also a collaboration of Sony Pictures Television, Playstation Productions, Naughty Dog, Word Game, and The Mighty Mint. Filming began in Canada last July, and will finish in mid-2022.

Because The Last of Us series is an adaptation, its plot will not be much different from the original story.
