Like Action RPG games in general, Genshin Impact also presents an elemental system to attack effects in the game. The elemental system in Genshin Impact is very important, because the effects of elemental attacks are very useful when you want to defeat the enemy. And in this article fajaryusufdotcom will provide tips & tricks on how to maximize damage by utilizing the element system in Genshin Impact.
There are 7 elements in Genshin Impact: Pyro, Hydro, Ameno, Electro, Dendro, Cyro, Geo
There are 7 types of elements that you can find in the game Genshin Impact, so there are tips for maximizing element damage. The 7 elements are Pyro (Fire), Hydro (Water), Anemo (Wind), Electro (Lightning), Dendro (Grass), Cryo (Ice), and Geo (Rock). The element system is the most important aspect in the game Genshin Impact and of course players must have a basic understanding so that the resulting attacks can be more effective.
In combat there are two types of attacks. First, physical attacks marked with white numbers and elemental attacks marked with the color of each element type. Enemy attacks are also divided into two types, typeless and element type. To see the enemy's element type, you can see the element symbol above its head. Apart from that, you can also use the Element Sight feature by pressing and holding the mouse scroll on the PC or tapping the icon on the mobile.
Genshin Impact Element Combo Attack
This is the main factor in the element system in Genshin Impact, which is very important and must be understood by players. With an element combo you can inflict additional damage to the enemy after creating an elemental effect interaction from combining two different elemental attacks.
For example, if you attack a typless enemy with Dendro elements and then attack them again with Pyro, the element effect interaction, Burning, will be created. When getting the Burning element interaction, the enemy will get additional damage and this is very helpful in combat.
This is also useful when you fight enemies with certain elements. For example, you fight an enemy with Cyro elements, and an enemy with a Hydro type will interact with the Frozen element. The enemy will freeze for a moment and that's when the enemy can't attack.
Genshin Impact Element Effect Interaction
Burning: Dendro + Pyro
Effect: Inflicts a DoT Pyro DoT effect for several seconds. It is much more powerful than normal Pyro DoT effects.
Burning deals a constant Damage-over-Time debuff on enemies which can only be extinguished by entering a water source or by using the elemental ice. The effect of Burning can also occur on wooden objects such as burning shields and enemy sticks.
Burning also has important uses in exploration. Burning grass on the map will generate an upward wind so the character can fly to reach a certain height.
Frozen: Hydro + Cryo
Effect: Freezes the target, Crowd Control for a few seconds.
Frozen will result in the enemy being unable to make any interactions. Frozen enemies will be vulnerable to all attacks and will remain frozen for a short time before they return to normal. Frozen can be applied repeatedly without cooldown which means it is possible to lock on one enemy for a long time.
Players affected by Frozen can repeatedly tap the move button to thaw themselves faster. Keep in mind that frozen enemies should not be attacked with Pyro elements as they will obviously melt away and can attack again.
Vaporize: Hydro + Pyro
Effect: Removes both elemental effects, deals x2 damage if Hydro is the trigger element, or x1.5 damage if Pyro is the trigger element.
Vaporize is used to remove Pyro elements from enemies such as fire slime. Vaporize also causes additional damage to Hydro's enemies but doesn't remove their elements. Enemies who lose Pyro's element through Vaporize will regenerate it over time, as they don't take subsequent Hydro damage. Vaporize will also remove the Burning status, meaning you can find a water source to eliminate Burning.
Melt: Cryo + Pyro
Effect: Removes both elemental effects, dealing x2 damage if Pyro is the trigger element, or x1.5 damage if Cryo is the trigger element.
Melt will remove Frozen status from enemies or players. Most of the effects were similar to those of Vaporizing.
Electro-charged: Hydro + Electro
Effect: Deals Electro damage per second (DoT). Lasts 1 second (DoT beats twice during this duration).
Electro-charged enemies will continually gasp, interrupt their attacks and reset attacks or movements. This also applies to player characters, so make sure you don't stand in the water when facing Electro enemies nearby. Electro-charged enemies will also transfer this status effect to nearby enemies.
Overload: Pyro + Electro
Effect: Creates AoE damage
Overloaded enemies will explode and fly into the air if their size is small. The explosion that occurs can also inflict damage to nearby enemies.
Superconduct: Cryo + Electro
Effect: Deals AoE damage, reduces target's physical defense by 50% for 8 seconds.
The effect of Superconduct is the same as Overload.
Swirl: Anemo + Hydro / Pyro / Cryo / Electro
Effect: Diffuses the element effect used for Swirl.
Swirl doesn't give any additional effect, but gives a huge bonus damage to the target enemy. This makes Anemo elements a pretty good element type, because they don't interfere with or counteract the interactions of other elements that might occur.
Those are the tips & tricks on how to maximize element damage in the game Genshin Impact, hopefully it can help you to apply it in-game.
