Mobile Legends is one of the most popular mobile games, making it the biggest esport scene in Indonesia, but it seems that this doesn’t make Moonton just satisfied. Moonton is committed to continuing to develop the esports ecosystem in Indonesia. Included in the Mobile Legends Development League / MDL Season 2 tournament.
This is evidenced by the number of tournaments and talent search events that have been held for Mobile Legends Bang Bang players in Indonesia. In 2020 this will be a tough talent search event due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But apparently this did not discourage Moonton in continuing to look for talented players for the game.
With the holding of the Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) Season 2 event, Moonton is getting ready to see new talents outside of pro players who have competed in the Mobile Legends Professional League / MPL.
There will be 11 teams that are confirmed to compete in MDL Season 2 to win a total prize pool of more than USD 20 thousand or the equivalent of IDR 300 million rupiah from 10 August to 30 September 2020 (regular season). The top teams who successfully gain points in the Regular Season round will advance to the next round, namely the MDL Playoffs for three days on 9, 10, and 11 October 2020.
Lucas Mao Said:
“We are very excited to announce the MDL to the Mobile Legends lovers community in Indonesia. We hope that this MDL can open wider opportunities for players to reap achievements while providing opportunities for teams currently competing in MPL to find new talents who have the potential to fill the team roster in the future, “said Lucas Mao as Commissioner of MDL in Indonesia.
MDL will continue amidst the COVID-19 pandemic which is endemic in more than 200 countries, including Indonesia. There will be implementation of strict and measurable health protocols as recommended by the Government and health experts in Indonesia.
