The most anticipated release of 2022 among mobile gamers, the Action RPG game Gacha and the sequel to one of the biggest franchises available for mobile, Honkai: Star Rail, is now entering the Closed Beta Test phase and registration is open for interested players. The latest entry in the series takes the setting to outer space, embarking on a truly mesmerizing interstellar journey that is sure to become one of 2022’s big hits.

For those of you who don’t know, Honkai is a series that started with Honkai Gakuen 2 but really took off with the hugely popular Honkai Impact 3rd. Even though it has 3 names in it, there is actually only one main entry in it. Developed by miHoYo who had success with Genshin Impact, this series features beautiful graphics, excellent character designs, high-speed action gameplay and a vast world.

The story details in the game are light enough to avoid spoiling anything before the actual release, but the good news from the previous Closed Beta alone is enough to make Honkai fans think.

And in terms of gameplay, Star Rail actually deviates a bit from the Impact series, offering some Turnbased gameplay as opposed to the third-person action that Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd have. In this game, players will build a team and use their skills to fight bad guys while leveling up and making full use of unique equipment in a similar way to classic JRPGs.
