O Yeong-su is a South Korean actor who started his career as a theater performer in the 60s. He has won a number of awards throughout his career. And recently, the veteran actor took home a Golden Globe award for his role as Oh Il-nam or player 001 in Squid Game.
Thanks to his victory, O Yeong-su is now the first Korean actor to win a Golden Globein the supporting actor category for television.
He also managed to beat talented actors, such as Billy Crudup and Kieran Culkin, in the category.

Squid Game also managed to make history as the most watched Netflix series beating Bridgerton. And the second and third season of the series has been confirmed by the director.
“I’m in talks with Netflix over season 2 and season 3,” he said to Korean Broadcaster KBS, as reported by Korea Times.
