Apex Legends has been confirmed to be released for mobile devices, but so far no further information has been developed. And now, EA has confirmed at the Q3 earning calls regarding the plan that work is still ongoing in China.
"Launching the mobile game version in China?, you must have partner, and we, as we said in the prepared remarks today, we work with partner there, and we are very happy with the opportunity."
"The partner is also helping us develop Apex Legends mobile for the globe, more to come on that in terms of timing ."EA chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen
After seeing the success of the Mobile version of Fortnite and PUBG, it seems that Apex Legends wants to make their own way to enter the mobile gaming market as well. This could be an alternative option for players who want to play Apex Legends, and even EA might open more markets with the Lite application version.
Both the mobile and PC versions of Apex Legends are being developed by the same partner and there is no mention of who they are. More information is expected to be announced in May at the EA Q4 financial results.
